Master Gardener Short Classes

Get Garden-Smart!

Attend a short gardening class in Building B, each half hour from 10AM to 1PM. Topics and speakers will be announced here in April.

High quality garden plants for sale, locally-grown and chosen for success in our Skagit Valley environment. Free admission and parking. Free short gardening classes, plant clinic, food, and fun!

Plants include herbs, shrubs, trees, veggies, native plants, grasses, annuals, perennials, plants to attract pollinators (bees, hummingbirds, butterflies) and, of course: our annual Plant Fair is famous for the quality and variety of our tomato plants … more than 40 varieties – including slicers, salad tomatoes, cherry, and plum types, many of which are heirloom. The Plant Fair covers the entire fairgrounds with one whole building just for tomatoes.  The pavilion building is the new home for all of our other annual and perennial plants, leaving more room between plant tables for wheelchairs, wagons, wheelbarrows, and carts. Easier check-out, too.

For 46 years our Master Gardeners have been helping this community with its gardening needs – providing answers to plant production and plant problem questions.

Information for vendors

Planning is well underway for the 2023 Plant Fair and we want you to be a part of it!

In 2022, the Plant Fair had an attendance of over 2100 visitors. Customers started lining up at 6 am. We had 785 customers by 9 am, 1,235 by 10 am, 1,400 by 11 am, 1650 by noon, and 2135 by the close of the fair.

If you would like to be added to the vendor mailing list, email the Plant Fair Vendor Coordinators. Indoor and outdoor locations will be available for your booth at the Skagit County Fairgrounds.

We advise EARLY REGISTRATION by March 31 to ensure that your business/organization will be listed on this Web page when we begin actively promoting the event to customers in April. Get your business onto our vendor list and help us whet their appetites!

For your point-of-sale transactions, the Skagit County Fairgrounds will provide FREE internet access thanks to generous support from PogoZone.
